Kids can be cute.
A visitor to the chimpanzee enclosure.
Cage match. Two juveniles were chasing each other around the play nets, swinging up and plunging earthwards with reckless glee.
When opposable toes are not enough, use teeth too.
This slightly older male seemed intent on upstaging anything the smaller two did, showing off with youthful bravado and demanding attention. Here, he climbed to the very top of the tree and rocked it back and forth as hard as he could, riding it like a swaying ship's mast.
One of two infant chimps...
...learning to climb.
Focus fail, but cuteness win.
Lazy afternoon.
A binturong, or "bear-cat". Not actually related to either bear or cat, the binturong appears to be an excellent example of convergent evolution: Binturong and cats understand how a Saturday afternoon should be spent.
Binturong even smell warm and cuddly.
The mother cleaning herself and her cub, catlike, in their treehouse.
A gibbon, balancing improbably on a single rope.
Leopard seals. The one on top just wanted to snuggle, the one underneath just wanted to sleep undisturbed!
So sly...
Smug penguin.
Farewell!
Just for Melanie. The wombat wasn't out, but we found wombat footprints :)
